1. Tourist (L) Visa Application
Mailed applications are not acceptable and will be returned. You may submit the application to the Visa Office of the Embassy; if you cannot go in person, you may entrust someone else or a travel/visa agent to transact your application affairs. No appointment is required.
Documents Required
- A neatly filled out L visa form;
- Passport with at least 6 months validity and at least on blank visa page;
- Provide schedule in Austria (if possible);
- One 2 inch passport style photos;
Fee and Payment Method
Austria visa fees vary from the number of entries or duration of stay.
- A 3-month single-entry L visa will cost €30;
- A 6-month twice-entry L visa for €45;
- A 6-month multiple-entry L visa for €60;
- A 12-month multiple-entry L visa for €90;
Cash or personal checks are not acceptable. Pay by Visa, MasterCard, money order, cashier's check or company check.
Processing Time
- The regular processing time is 7 working days;
- Quick service: additional fee of €23 for 3 working days processing;
- Rush service: one day processing, additional fee of €33 will be charged per visa.
Visa Pick-Up
Visas can be picked up on or after the pick-up date specified in the receipt. The receipt must be presented. Applicants can pay and pick up visas themselves or send an entrusted person or travel agency with the receipt.
2. Where to Apply
Visas are applied in the Consular Section of Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Austria. See figure below. Addresses, etc. follow the office hours’ info.
