1. Tourist (L) Visa Application
You may submit the application to the Visa Office of the Embassy. If you cannot go in person, you may entrust someone else or a travel/visa agent to transact your application affairs. If the consular officials need your interview, you should go to the embassy in person.
Documents Required
- A valid passport (with at least 6 months validity and at least on blank visa page) and the passport copy;
- A neatly filled out L visa form;
- A passport style photo;
- Photocopy of the I.D. card;
- Certificate of bank deposit.

Processing Time
- The regular processing time is 5 working days (e.g. submission on Monday, pick up on Friday ).
- Express service: one working days processing, extra 40,000 Burundi franc will be charged for per visa.
- Rush service: the same day processing, extra 50,000 Burundi franc will be charged for per visa.
Visa Pick-Up
When you collect your visa, you should show the relevant receipt to consular officials.
