1. Tourist (L) Visa Application
Mailed applications are not acceptable and will be returned. You may submit the application to the Visa Office of the Embassy. If you cannot go in person, you may entrust someone else or a travel/visa agent to transact your application affairs. You can make an appointment before transact your visa affairs. If the consular officials need your interview, you should go to the embassy in person.
Documents Required
- A passport (with at least 6 months validity and at least on blank visa page) and the passport photocopy;
- A Congo visa (with at least 6 months validity ) for none-Congo passport;
- A truly and completed visa application form;
- A 2 inches passport style photograph;
- Certificate of traveling expense or an invitation letter issued by a Chinese authorized organization or from a permanent Chinese citizen;
- Hotel bookings in China.
Processing Time
The normal processing is 4 working days. The express service is 2–3 working days. The rush service is one working day. Extra fees are charged for express and rush service.
Visa Pick-Up
When you collect your visa, you should show the relevant receipt to consular officials.

You should go to the Visa Office of the Embassy to transact your application affairs.

Embassy office: 8:30 am–12:30 pm, 1:30 pm–3:30 pm, Monday to Friday (except Chinese public holidays)
Holidays Schedule in 2011
The embassy will be closed on Saturday, Sunday and Chinese public holidays, including New Year's Day, Spring Festival, Chinese Qingming Festival, International Labor Day, Chinese Dragon Boat Festival, Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, and Chinese National Day.
