1. Tourist (L) Visa Application
No visa applications through mail are acceptable. You may submit the application to the Chinese Embassy or Consulate -General in the consular jurisdiction in which you live; if you cannot go in person, you may entrust someone else or a travel/visa agent to transact your application affairs. No appointment is required.
Indonesia passport holders that wish to travel in Hong Kong are not required to transact application affairs if your stay there is no more than 30 days. But a visa is required for those who want to work, study, establish or join in any business or to take up residence. And for those who want to stay in China for more than 30 days, you should transact your application first.
If a visa is required to Hong Kong, you may send your applications to Hong Kong SAR Immigration Department (Please visit http://www.immd.gov.hk/index.html for requirements). You can apply directly to or you can also apply through the Consular Section of the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia.
Indonesia passport holders that wish to travel in Macao are not required to transact application affairs if your stay there is no more than 30 days. Documents Required
Except for a neatly, truly and completely filled out L visa form, applicants also need to provide following materials:
- Passport and its original with at least 6 months validity and at least on blank visa page;
- A round trip air ticket with validity;
- Booking hotel information in China;
- As for the family visiting (L) visa: please provide the evidence of your relationship in China and a round trip air ticket;
- Provide your schedule in Indonesia (if possible);
- One passport photo (only color photo with light background like light blue and white is acceptable);
Fee and Payment Method
Visa fees of Indonesia passport holders vary from the number of entries or duration of stay.
The center offers express service and urgent service.
- One single-entry L visa will cost RP 300,000;
- Two-entry L visa for RP 450,000;
- Multiple-entry L visa for half a year for RP 600,000;
- Multiple-entry L visa for one year for RP 900,000;
If you wish to Hong Kong for more than 30 days, the visa fee is RP210, 000.
Payment Method :visa fees are paid when collecting passport; Cash(Indonesia RP),debit card are acceptable; For mail visa application, online interbank transfer only. For mail application, no express or urgent service.
Visa Processing Time
- The regular processing time is 4 working days from the submitting date (e.g. submission on Monday, pick up on Thursday).
- Express service: 2 to 3 working days processing, besides the normal visa fee, additional fee of RP 200,000 will be charged for.
- Same day rush service: besides the normal visa fee, an additional fee of RP 300,000 per visa will be charged. (Applications presented before 11:30am may be picked up between 3:00pm-4:00pm on the same day, the air ticket for the same day or the next day is needed).
Processing time of Hong Kong SAR Visa is not fixed. The Embassy shall issue visas according to the response from the Hong Kong SAR Immigration Department in 4 weeks.
Visa Pick-Up
Visas can be picked up on or after the pick-up date specified in the receipt. The receipt must be presented. Applicants can pay and pick up visas themselves or send an entrusted person or travel agency with the receipt.
