1. Tourist (L) Visa Application
You may submit the application to the Consular Section of the Chinese Embassy. If you cannot go in person, you may entrust someone else or a travel/visa agent to transact your application affairs. Mailed applications are not acceptable and will be returned. No appointment is required. An interview may be required if the visa officer deems it necessary.
If you are planning to travel to Tibet Autonomous Region, you should contact the Tourism Administration of the Tibet (Tel: 0086-891-6834313; Fax: 0086-891-6834632) in advance and ask for its approval.
Documents Required
- A valid passport (with at least 6 months validity and at least on blank visa page) and photocopy of the passport, a completed Chinese visa application form, a recent passport photograph affixed to the visa application form, a copy of hotel reservation in China, and a copy of outward and return flight tickets
- if applicants are going to Tibet, they should provide an entry permit issued by Tibetan Tourist Bureau.

Note: Rush service and express are available but extra fees will be charged. The same day processing will charge extra fees of 150 Shekel. 2-3 working days processing will charge extra fees of 150 Shekel.
Processing Time
- The regular processing time is 4 working days (e.g. submission on Monday, pick up on Thursday ).
- Express service: 2–3 working days processing, 150 Shekel will be charged for per visa.
- Rush service: the same day processing, 150 Shekel will be charged for per visa.
Visa Pick-Up
Visas can be picked up on pick-up date specified in the receipt. You can pay and pick up visas in person or send an entrusted person or travel agency with the receipt.When collecting the visa, the pick-up receipt must be present .
2. Where to Apply
You need to go to the Visa Office of the Embassy to apply your visa. There is no consulate of China in Israel.

The embassy will be closed on Friday, Saturday, and public holiday, including New Year’s Day, Chinese Spring Festival, Purim, Pesach (Passover), Labor Day, Yom Ha'Atzmaut (Israel Independence Day), Dragon Boat Festival, Shavuot (Pentecost), Mid-Autumn Festival, Rosh Hashana (New Year), China's National Day, Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), Sukkot (Tabernacles),Simchat Torah and Chanukah (Festival of Lights).
