1. Tourist (L) Visa Application
You may submit the application to the Visa Office of the Embassy. If you cannot go in person, you may entrust someone else or a travel/visa agent to transact your application affairs. If the consular officials need your interview, you should go to the embassy in person.
If you want to travel to Tibet, you should contact a local travel agency to obtain confirmation from the Tibet Tourist Bureau before applying for a visa. (Fax 09-86-891-34632 or 09-86-891-35588, Lhasa, Tibet, China).
Documents Required
A original passport (with at least 6 months validity and at least on blank visa page), a completed visa form, a recent passport-size (2"x2") photo (black & white or color), hotel booking, return tickets and itinerary in China.
Fee and Payment Method
Checks are not acceptable. Only cash is accepted.

Processing Time
The normal processing is 4 working days. The express service is 2–3 working days. The rush service is one working day. Extra fees are charged for express and rush service.
Visa Pick-Up
When you collect your visa, you should show the relevant receipt to consular officials.
