1. Tourist (L) Visa Application

Mailed applications are not acceptable. You may submit the application to the Consular Section of the Embassy in person; if you cannot go in person, you may entrust someone else or a travel/visa agent to transact your application affairs. No appointment is required.

Documents Required

A neatly filled out Visa application Form, original passport (with at least 6 months validity and at least on blank visa page), a 2 inch passport style photo ((black & white or color is acceptable)) to be glued or stapled on the visa form, flight order form (whether the original, photocopy or FAX facsimible is acceptable).if you are a citizen of Slovakia who’s original nationality is Chinese, you should provide your original Chinese passport at the first time application.

Fee and Payment Method

Visa fees are based on your nationality and number of entries or duration of stay. The following visa fee form is for your reference payment. Cash or personal checks are not acceptable. Applicants should pay through a bank. The payment documents are submitted to the applicant or his commission agent after the visa application accepted.

Processing Time

  • The regular processing time is 4 working days (e.g. submission on Monday, pick up on Thursday).
  • Express service: 2–3 working days processing, extra 30eruos will be charged per visa.
  • Same day rush service: additional fee of 40euros for 1 working day processing (applications submitted before 11:30am may be picked up between 3:00–3:30pm on the same day).

Visa Pick-Up

Visas can be picked up on or after the pick-up date specified in the pick up form. The receipt must be presented when collecting visas.

You need to go to the Consular Section of the Chinese Embassy. See figure below. Addresses, etc. follow the office hours info.

Office Hours

The Consular Section has the same visa section office hours: 8:30am–11:30am, 3:00pm–4:00pm only for visa pick up(every Tuesday and Thursday, except the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Tomb-Sweeping Day, International Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, Chinese National Day, and Christmas.)
