1. Tourist (L) Visa Application

Generally, according to the Ministry of foreign Affairs of People’s Republic of China, you can submit your application to the Chinese embassy yourself; if you cannot go in person, you may entrust someone else or a travel agency/visa agent to transact your application affairs. Mailed applications are also acceptable. The specific information please contacts the Chinese Embassy in Slovenia at length.

Documents Required

A completely filled out Visa Application Form (which needed to be download from the website of Chinese Embassy, typed the required information in and printed out), valid passport (with at least 6 months validity and at least on blank visa page), and a passport style photo (black & white or color is acceptable) to be glued on the form, round trip tickets and hotel reservation; if visiting family members, certificates of kinship are required.(Note: Any person suffering from mental disorder, leprosy, AIDS, venereal diseases, contagious tuberculosis or other such infectious diseases shall not be permitted to enter china. No visa is required for ordinary passport holders from Singapore, Brunei and Japan to visit China for up to 15 days.)

Fee and Payment Method

Visa fees are charged based on your number of entries or duration of stay. Please follow the following form for reference payment. Cash or e-payment is not acceptable. Applicants should first fill out the "Plačilni nalog BN02" form and pay the fees through the local banks or post.

Processing Tim

(Suggested application time is 3 to 6 weeks before intended date of entry into China.)

  • The regular processing time is 7 working days (e.g. submission on Monday, pick up on the next Monday).
  • Express service: 2–3 working days processing, extra EUR15 will be charged per visa.
  • Same day rush service: additional fee of EUR35 for 1 working day processing (one day rush service require applicants come to the consular office at 8:00am– 9:00am of the working hours of the consular office, applications submitted before 9:00am may be picked up around 10:30am on the same day.)

Visa Pick-Up

Visas can be picked up on or after the pick-up date designated in the pick up form and payment receipt. Visas are collected by the pick up form and the payment receipt.

2. Where to Apply

You need to go to the Consular Department of the Embassy to transact your application affairs. See figure below. Addresses, etc. follow the office hours info.

Office Hours

The Consular Department of the embassy often has the same visa section office hours: 8:00am–11:00am(Every Tuesdays and Thursday, except the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Tomb-Sweeping Day, International Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, Chinese National Day, and Christmas.).
