1. Tourist (L) Visa Application
You should submit the application to the Visa Office of the Embassy in person. No appointment is required. Mailed applications are not acceptable and will be returned. If an interview is required, you should go to the embassy in person.
Documents Required
- For individual: A valid passport (with at least 6 months validity and at least on blank visa page), a fully completed visa application form, and a recent 2-inch passport photo (bareheaded and full-faced)
- For group tour (Group visas will usually be issued for groups with at least 5): A name list of the whole members of the tour group( for triplicate) and one copy of the information page of each passport
Group visa is not issued on the passports, but on a separate paper, which requires all the group members come and leave China together.

Processing Time
The normal processing is 4 working days. The express service is 2–3 working days. The rush service is one working day. Extra fees are charged for express and rush service.
Visa Pick-Up
You should go to the visa office of embassy in person to pick up your visa on the pick-up date specified in the receipt. When collecting the visa, the receipt must be present to consular officials.

The embassy will be closed on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays, including New Year’s Day, Chinese New Year, International Labor Day, and Chinese National Day.
