1. Tourist (L) Visa Application
You may submit your application in person, or entrust someone else to transact your application affairs. But under certain circumstances, the applicant is required to go in person, and an interview may be required by the consular official if necessary.
Documents Required
A completely filled out Chinese Visa Application form, passport (with at least 6 months validity), a photocopy of the passport , a additional recently-taken color photo（4cm×3cm in size, life photos, copied photos and digital photos printed on ordinary paper are not acceptable）which needed to be attached to the application form, and other documents required by the consular official. Principally, applicants who want to travel in China should provide proof of sufficient fees for visiting China. If necessary, applicants should provide the bus/flight/sea tickets of the country which he/she leaves for after leaving China. Applicants plan to visit relatives in China should provide invitation letters from relatives.

Processing Time
- The regular processing time is 4 working days (e.g. submission on Monday, pick up on Thursday).
- Express service: 2–3 working days processing, extra VEB125 will be charged per visa.
- Same day rush service: additional fee of VEB180 for 1 working day processing.
Visa Pick-Up
Visas can be picked up on or after the pick-up day. Pay the visa fees, service fees and present the receipt when collecting visas.
2. Where to Apply
You need to go to the consular section of the Embassy which holds consular jurisdiction in your country. See figure below. Addresses, etc. follow the office hour’s info.
Office Hours
Usually the consular section has the same business hours: 09:00am-12:00am for foreign reception
(From Monday to Thursday, except holidays).The embassy will be closed on Saturday and Sunday, and the following holidays: Chinese New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, International Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Chinese National Day, Mid-Autumn Festival.
