Hi, I''m planning to visit Chengdu this coming November. I have long been attracted to your country''s beautiful history thus I want to go and see myself especially the Three Kingdom''s heritage and Zhuge Liang''s monument & shrine. May I know what is the weather like in early November, and what should I wear? I will have 5 days in Chengdu City, so within 5 days, which places should you recommend me to go? I also want to shop some souvenirs to bring back home. Need your assistance. Thank you.

Hi Seda,It is cool in November. The average highest temperature is around 16 °C (61 °F ) and the lowest temperature is about 10 °C (50 °C ). November rarely sees any rain, but is not dry because of the special climate of this city. The sky is cloudy and the sun rarely shines, so you may feel a bit cold. Long trousers and a coat will do, and wear socks most of the time to stay warm. Please click here to see more attractions in Chengdu and let me know if can help you to tailor make an itinerary for you: http://www.chinahighlights.com/chengdu/attraction/

Dear Yuba Raj Gurung,

You could take an overnight train from Chengdu to Beijing, it takes about 27 hours at least and it costs about CNY660/US$107 for the soft sleeper. If you think it is tired to take a train for a long time, you also could take a flight, it takes about 2.5 hours.

Hi, we plan to visit our daughter in Hong Kong in October 2013. We are considering flying to HK and staying over for about 4 - 5 days then taking a holiday in China. Returning to HK for 2 - 3 days and back to the UK. My question is; could you please put together an itinerary generally following this criteria: Depart Uk 12th Oct. HK for 4 - 5 days. In no particular order; Guilin, cruise Yangtze River (mid section) up or down stream, Chengdu, Xi''an, Sanya for short beach stay. HK for 2 - 3 days. Return to Uk on or before 3rd November. Comments and suggestions welcome. Thanks Paul.

Hi Paul, thanks for your inquiry. It is an excellent time frame for the tour, which can cover all the places and not push.

We are more than pleased to help plan your China tour. In order to quote the accurate price, could you please let me know:

1. How many people will be traveling with you? Is there any kids or elderly people? How old if any?

2. What kind of hotel you would like to stay in? 3/4/5 star?

I will propose a detailed itinerary as soon as I got further information from you, okay?

Thanks & have a nice day! Whitney

Dear Anita,

I checked the information on line and found out there are three buses from Dazu to Chengdu. It sets off at 9:00am, 13:00pm and 17:00pm. You could take the bus at Dazu new bus station(大足新汽车站(客运中心))and arrive at Chengdu Hehuachi bus station(荷花池汽车站).

It takes about 4.5 hours and it costs about CNY85/US$14 per person.

Hi Niama, it is warm in Beijing and Chengdu in April. A long sleeve shirt, a light sweater and a coat would cope with the weather.

You can also check the up to date weather information via this website: http://www.weather.com.cn/english/

If you need any tour service, we are very glad to offer an option.

I''ll be touring Jiuzhaigou in Oct. Arrive in Chengdu on 10th Oct evening and leaving on 19th. How many days would you recommend to tour Jiuzhaigou National Park at a comfortable pace? If there''s time, I''m considering to go back to Chengdu to visit Emeishan or travel to Lhasa. Kindly advise. Also, I guess it''s quite easy to engage a guide at Jiuzhaigou airport? Because we prefer a personal guide that is flexible with itinerary

Whitney Liao (Apr. 09, 2013) replied:

Hi Ai, for a tour to  Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong, usually we suggest 3days 2nights for a comfortable pace.

No problem to visit Chengdu or Lhasa. Since April this year, there are no strict requirements on Tibet Permit application, so more and more people are successful to get approval to enter Tibet.

We are specializing in private tours. Our tour guide and driver will only be at your service during the tour. No others sharing.

I don't think it is easy to engage a guide at Jiuzhaigou airport, I suggest that you engage on in advance.

Hi Cho,the skiing season in Xiling is from December to February. It's better to get there at the end of December due to the weather situation. The room rate for the hotels has not come out yet. We properly will get in November. The room rate for last year is around USD100 per night per room.As I know there is no skiing resort in Longchi. Do you mind to let me know more information about Longchi?

Hi Vickie, We can arrange the bus in each city. But between these places, bus is not recommended for transportation, as China is so big a country, usually we take flights for cities with long distance between such as Beijing, Xian, Chengdu, Guilin.

I am very glad to quote a price. In order to make the exact one, please kindly let me know:

1. entering and departing cities

2. class of hotel: 3/4/5 star

3. the duration of your stay in China

4. estimative budget per person

I will send you the quotation with detailed itinerary as soon as I get these information from you.
