Hi SINNY, no problem to rent a private bus to ride all the trip along. Travel at night is also safe, but may be a little tired to the driver.

Dear China Highlights,I am interested in your 4 days package.Together with my 2 friends (3 pax), we are planning to visit Tibet on October 2013.I read your note "The Tibet Tourism Administration has recently indicated that they will tighten the regulations which control the issuance of Tibet Travel Permits. Besides now having to enter Tibet in a group of five people or more of the same nationality, the permit will be issued just 4-5 days before arriving in Lhasa."Is it possible for us to get the Tibet Permit?Regarding that we are only consist of 3 people. We are planning to arrive in Chengdu Airport (CTU) on 11 October 2013, and connecting to Lhasa on 12 October 2013.From your note "Also the permit will need to be sent to the place of departure in China for Lhasa by express courier."Are we getting our Permit when in Chengdu or when arrives in Lhasa? Thanks for your help.Regards,Risal ArifinIndonesia

Dear Risal,

We only know that in February and March foreign tourists could not enter Tibet, but we don't know how about the situation after March and the exact policy. If we have any news about it, we will inform you as soon as possible.

In additon, if you could visit Tibet, you need to get the Tibet permit before enter Tibet, so you get it in Chengdu when you arrive in Chengdu.

Hi there, i am planning to take my leave sometime between Apr to May. Where is the best place to visit in China? As a matter of fact, it is not my first time travelling in China. I have been most of the hotspots in China eg, Shanghai, Yunnan, Beijing CHengdu, Xian, Hangzhou. I have heard alot about Harbin... do tell me more about this place, its culture, temperature and cuisine.

Dear Sally,

In general in April and May it is a good time for traveling to China, but for visiting Harbin, I suggest you have a tour in winter ( from December to February in the next year).

Harbin is located in north of China and is famous for the snow sculptures and ice sculptures. These beautiful sceneries are seen in cold weather. We listed much information about this city on line, you could realise it by yourself.

Hi. I''m planning to tour Sichuan and go on a Yangtze cruise. I would like to see Chongqing,Chengdu and the beautiful Huanglong and Jiuzhaigou areas too. Would September or October be better?Thank you for a speedy reply.

Whitney Liao (Feb. 04, 2013) replied:

Hi TheOwl, both Sep. and Oct. are excellent.  September is the International Panda Month in Jiuzhaigou Vally. You can get close to nature and view the lovely pandas. While October there is famous for the beautiful red maple leaves all over the mountains. Please avoid the National Day Holiday(Oct.1-7), the area could get very crowded for too many domestic visitors.

Dear Richard,

I regret that I am not familiar with the place you mention. If you would like to buy some painting, you could go to Jinli Old Street or Chengdu Kuan-zhai Lane where is about 3 km from the hotel.
