Dear Rainer, Between Changsha and Chongqing, the time is similar to take a train and a bus, and the train will be cheaper, so I recommend train. There are 2 trains depart from Changsha to Chongqing every day, and they depart at 14:42 and 18:49, duration 15h48m and 20h19m. There is no direct train or bus between Changsha and Hong Kong, so I suggest that you go to Guangzhou first and then take a train to Hong Kong.

There is no international airport in Chongqing, so you could choose to fly to either Guangzhou or there cities that has flight schedule via your departure city. After you arrive in Chongqing, you could choose to take a  public transport / our private transfer service from airport to train station, there are trains from Chongqing to Wanzhou (5.5-6.5 hours' driving). Online tickets booking is available on our website: http://www.chinahighlights.com/china-trains/.

I was going to take a long train ride to Chengdu and enter Chongqing by D-train from the west. I really wanted to ride on that new train route through the mountains I read about in China Daily a few years ago. I thought Yichang was a suburb of Wuhan and could not find the train. Then I realized you have to take a train from Wuhan to Yichang to get the "K or T" trains, but not "D" trains to Wanchow. It looks like that terminus is over 220 km from the city of Chongqing. Are there buses from the Wanchow train station to the capital city? (3 hours? cost?) Is the CRH terminus for D trains to Chengdu located in the capital city or in Wanzhou? Thanks.

Dear John, There are some D trains from Chengdu to Chongqing, it takes about 2.5 hours. In addition, Yichang is a city, it is in the west of Wuhan city. You also could take a D train to Wuhan from Yichang city, it takes about 2-2.5 hours and it costs about CNY84-102/US$14-17 per person. Wanzhou is a district, belongs to Chongqing city. If you are in Wanzhou, you need to go to Chongqing railway station or bus station to take a train or bus. I am not sure whether you are satisfied with my information or not, if you still have any other questions, please feel free to let me know.

I am planning to take a cruise on Chang Jiang in February/March 2014. I have received some information from Whitney. Now I am asking for specific information about a cruise which has only Chinese speaking staff. It is 3 or 4 days duration from Chongqing to Yichang. Meals can be purchased on board for about Y20 or can be brought on board before sailing. I read about this online a few days ago, and now I can not locate its website! I will be very grateful if I get this information or information about similar cruise.Thank you

I have read somewhere there are such cruises where only Chinese is spoken. I will be traveling with a Chinese companion so I prefer Chinese speaking cruise. I will highly appreciate if you give me information about this and/or website address where I can find this. Thanking you. Jack

Hello - I am interested to book the President 8 cruise on Sept. 27-30. I need to book 2 Deluxe Balcony Cabins next to each other (4 passengers total). Are there any discounts for Senior Citizens? 2 travelers are seniors. Also, in september will the boat launch from Chongqing or Fengdu? I saw the notice on the webpage.
