August in Chongqing sees the highest temperatures of the year, as its average temperature during the day can go from 25 °C (77 °F) to 34 °C (93.2 °F). You may feel you can''t go outside even with a sun umbrella, as the sunshine is so strong. So you don’t need jacket in such weather.

Is there any bus coach from Chongqing to Maoxian or Chengdu to Maoxian? If yes,what time and price? Actually,we have plan to go to Siguniangshan by starting from Chongqing.Thanks

Thank you for your inquiry. My name is Doris Huang and I am a travel advisor. It is my pleasure to assist you.
You need to go to Chengdu first, you can take a bullet train (about 2.5 hours and CNY100) from the Chongqing North Train Station, and take a taxi to the Chengdu Chadianzi Terminal Bus Station (about 30mins, CNY40).
According to the latest information, the easiest way to go to the Siguniangshan is:
There is a bus depart at 6:30 every morning from Chengdu Chadianzi Terminal Bus Station (成都茶店子客运中心)(tel: 028-87506610) to Xiaojin (小金), take it and get off at Dawei（达维）. The journey takes about 8 hours and CNY140.
After arrive Dawei, you will find many private vans go to Rilong (日隆), you can charter a van or share a van with others. As the condition of the road is limited, it takes a whole daytime (about 350km and CNY150 per person), so you will need to spend a night in Dawei.
Tips: according to the experience of previous tourists, do not get on a bus/van goes to “Siguniangshan”, but take a bus/van goes to Rilong. Arrive Rilong means arrive Siguniangshan.
