Dear zubi,
There is no direct train from Dalian to Laiwu. You could take an overnight train from Dalian to Jinan( about 15 hours, CNY440/US$72), then take a bus from Jinan bus station(济南长途汽车站）， located at No.131 Jiluo Road (济洛路131号). It takes about 2 hours by bus and it costs about CNY50/US$8 per person.

Hello, You could first take train from Mohe to Qiqihar and then take bus from Qiqihar to Wudalianchi.

I would like to book a trip from Dalian to Harbin (fast train). Then to Hailar on the next day and maybe stay a day before going to jiagedaqi. From jiagedaqi, I wish to travel to Dalian.Does this trip seem feasible? I would like to travel February 9- 13. I would like soft sleeper for most of trip. I have been to Harbin. Would I find it more interesting for a day in Hailar or jiagedaqi?ThanksMike
Hi Mike, this trip is feasible. However, I suggest that you change for another time to travel. Because February 9- 13 is the beginning of the Spring Festival in China, the train tickets are not easy to obtain.

Hi.. I am new in China and currently residing in Dalian. I have a 4 day new year break & I have no clue what to do. While Dalian is very cold now, my 1st preference is to look at options in and around Dalian. Unless there is a better / warmer option

If you don't want to go so far, then Beijing with the Great Wall and the Forbidden City is highly recommended. What do you think?
