There is no direct train from Dalian to Shiyan, you should firstly take train K369 from Dalian to Hankou(Wuhan). The train leaves at 13:40 and arrive in Hankou at 17:51, duration 28 hrs. the price is CNY686 per person for soft sleeper, you should stay one night in Wuhan, next morning, you can take bullet train D5211 which leaves at 8:30am and arrive in at 12:28pm, the price is CNY 181 per per for soft seat.

My wife, Chinese from Dalian, and myself are avid skiers. We frequently ski Mammoth, Tahoe, and other well-known U.S. ski resorts. Although I am a white U.S. born national, I speak fluent Mandarin. Both my wife and I have thought about skiing at Harbing. This year we are going to Dalian to visit family. However, we are trying to plan for a possible ski trip next year. If there is any useful information about the skiing facilities in Harbing, We would very much appreciate it if you could pass it on to us. Thank you very much and we hope that we can ski China in the very near future, maybe next year!

Dear Maikel, It will take about 12 hours by train and it costs about US$60 for the soft sleeper per person. They are overnight train. I think you will be tired and maybe it'll be inconvenient for you as there are so many people at the train station. You need to take your baggage into or from the train by yourself. It's comfortable to take a flight.

Dear Sej, As far as i know, you should apply for Chiese visa before leaving for China. According to the details, i suggest you ask the Chinese Embassy in your country directly. As we don't apply for a Chinese visa, the information we know is limited. In addition, if you ared interested in travel to China, i am glad to arrange a tour for you.

I live in Middle Europe. There is a chance that I will move with my family to Dailan for work. What is the most recommended area to live ? Considering school district with english school and safe location? House or apartment living? What is better option for a family? My work is located in north east. Thanks

Hi Tomas, thank you for your questions. I'm Nora, a trip advisor of China Highlights. Dalian is a very big city. It's suggested you choose a community next to your shcool disctrict to save the time on the road. There are numerous communities there and you could visit there to decide where to choose. There will be secuirty people in a good community. The price to buy an apartment in China now is very high. You could also choose to rent an apartment in a community. Welcome to China!

Hi Sam, thank you for your questions. This is Nora, a trip advisor of China Highlights. Glad to offer you some information. There are direct buses from Dalian to Bingyugou. The buses usually set off in front of Dalian Train Station or Dalian Beigangqiao Bus Station. It takes about 2-3 hours to get Bingyugou and the ticket costs CNY22-40/person. Usually one-day tour to Bingyugou is enough. Wish you a nice journey!
