Hi,My husband and I will arrive Harbin at 11:30PM flight (night arrival). It is hard to catch a taxi at that hour or would you suggest a pre-arranged airport pickup? Do you have any taxi /driver that you can recommend?We''re also thinking of visiting Snow Village (xuexiang), but prefer to hire a private driver. Can you remmend any? Do you also have any recommendation for Hotel/Stays in xuexiang? Lastly, How often is the flight delay going outbound from Harbin in mid Jan? (if you know). We have another connecting flight to catch and was wondering if the 3.5hr window we left in between would be enough, that is in case if there''s a flight delay.Thank you,Cathy
It is better to book a pre-arranged airport pickup as the taxi driver may overcharge you in the middle night. we can arrange a private driver for you to visit Snow village , can you please let us know your tour date so I can send you a exact quote for driver and hotel there. we suggest that you should leave more time for the flight connection as it is winter and the weather may be not good.

Hi,I am planning to go to Harbin and stay at sofitel hotel (No.68 Ganshui Road, Xiangfang District, Harbin, Heilongjiang, 150000 China). Can you suggest me how to go from hotel to the ice and snow world? Can i get there by taxi? If I can, is it far?Thanks !

Yes, taxis are available from your hotel to the Ice and Snow World, it is about CNY20 for the ride. You can ask the hotel staff to call a taxi for you and bring with you a hotel card to show taxi drivers when you head back for the hotel. There are few people speaking English in Harbin, having the hotel number may solve unexpected problems through hotel staff. Have fun in Harbin!

Hi Chin, based on the previous data, the average high and low temperature in January is respectively at -13 °C and -25 °C (8 °F-13 °F). But at early morning and evening, temperatures fall well below -30. If you stay indoors, it is very warm and comfortable because most buildings have central heating. If you stay outdoor or at the snow fields, multiple layers are the key. Try as warm as you can.

Hello Cindy, the Ice Festival will usually end at the middle of Feb. So i don't think you will still have the opportunity to see it in May. You may go there in early Feb if you really want to enjoy it. Wish you nice trip there.

I am a wildlife photographer and would like to have a vehicle to all myself to photograph the tigers at my own time, is there a way to arrange such services as I like to stay longer in the open field to wait for the best moment to get a picture. The bus does not seem to stop for long, and move off quickly and many people are in the bus which might block my view.

The Ice and Snow Festival in Harbin is not celebrated in only one or two scenic areas, it actually includes the Ice and Snow World, the ice sculptures in Stalin Park, the snow sculptures on the Sun Island and the ice lanterns in Zhaolin Park etc. You can take a taxi to one of these places easily. Make sure that you have a Chinese version of these places so the taxi drivers can take you to the right places. You can also consider using our private vehicle to make the trip easier and more enjoyable.
