haw far Lexiaguo from Kunming? What ather town located between Kunming n Lexiaguo

Asked by khailani on Jul. 26, 2010
Dennis Su (Jul. 27, 2010) replied:
Hello. There are not a lot of sites on the road from Kunming to Lexiaguo while Kunming itself has quite a few must-sees of Yunnan Province, such as The Stone Forest and so on. See more information about Kunming attractions at http://www.chinahighlights.com/kunming/attraction/. Base on our local exeperience, a two-full-days time is enough for a trip in Kunming and up to Lexiaguo. If you need any tour services in China, feel free to send us an email to service@chinahighlights.com, and it would be my pleasure to help you further.
Mia Yang (Jul. 27, 2010) replied:

how far is Kunming world expo to train station - Kunming Lijiang? Is it easy to get a taxi from expo to train station? What are the programmes at nite at Kunming world horticulture expo?

Asked by Ms Choo on Jul. 22, 2010
Michael Hu (Jul. 23, 2010) replied:
It is easy to get a taxi from the Expo to train station. It will takes about 30 mins and cost RMB50 for cab fee. There is no any activities in the Expo Area. It is looks like an empty garden. Tourists are unable to enter into the area after 18:00 and the Expo area will be closed after 20:00. So I do not recommend it to you. You can go to Shanghai for the current World Expo.

Hi,im planning to bring my family to KunMing somewhere end of January. Is it very cold? Is inner thermal wear required?

Asked by Samantha on Jul. 10, 2010
Karen Yang (Jul. 11, 2010) replied:
Samantha, Kunming is called "Spring City" in China, with an average temperature of 18 ℃(65℉), making it spring all year round. Jan and Feb would be coldest month with 1℃-12℃ (32℉-55℉)temperature, but it seldom snows like north parts of China (Beijing, Xian, etc). Usually a sweater and warm jacket would be ok, some seniors or children also might dress down or feather jacket. For visitors, Stone Forest (http://www.chinahighlights.com/kunming/attraction/the-stone-forest.htm ), 40 minutes driving away from Kunming city is the must see, also you should try it famous local dish “Cross-Bridge Noodle” (http://www.chinahighlights.com/kunming/food-restaurant.htm), which fresh hot soup will also keep you warm in winter. Thanks, Mia, for your help. Is there a bus schedule I can look at to see what time buses leave from Lijiang bus station (to Kunming)? And is there a way to book it in advance? And do the overnight buses have bathrooms on them?

Asked by nicki baman on Jul. 6, 2010
Mia Yang (Jul. 7, 2010) replied:
Hello Nicki, I couldn't find a bus schedule, but buses are frequent, one departs at every half hour. For night buses, you can catch one departing at 18:00, 18:30, 19:00, 19:30 or 20:00. You can go to the bus station and buy one on your own. Or you can buy 1 or 2 days before you want to go. If you book a Kunming or Lijiang tour package with us, we can arrange our local tour guide to buy the ticket and have it delivered to your hotel. (For tour packages, refer to http://www.chinahighlights.com/citytour/complete-china-city-tours.asp). There are no bathrooms on the bus, it might have 1 or 2 stops somewhere on the way. But if you take a train, there are bathrooms on the train.
