Hi, I am going to HongKong from 28 Feb to 6 March. Thinking of dropping by Macau for a day. Do you recommend me to stay in Macau for a night or just go for a day trip to Macau? Would it be better to go to Macau on a weekend or weekday? Thanks.

Hi J, both I think is ok. If you stay one night there, you will have more time to experience the local life. If your time is limit, one day tour would also be sufficient. I suggest that you go on weekday as it would be less crowded.

I am a Philippine passport holder and residing in Singapore. I am a Christian worker in religion. My friend who resides in Macau invited me to visit her in Macau and suggested we also go to China for three days. What would be the requirements for me for a visa to China?

Hi, If you visit mainland china, china visa would be needed. For Visa application: below information will be needed.   ·         Passport (original, not a copy), which must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel, with at least one blank visa page (amendment pages and pages with bar codes are not acceptable for visa stamping). ·         One completed, signed Visa Application Form for each passport, with appropriate visa fee and any supporting information required. ·         Two passport photos (head and shoulders only, front view, with a white background, approximately 35mm x 45mm). Dear Nerva, You could go to Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the people's Republic of China in the Macau Special Administrative Region to apply for a China visa. Here is the official website. Please click: http://www.fmcoprc.gov.mo/eng/ In addition, some of the local travel agencies also could help you apply for a visa. I suggest you ask one at first. It might save your time.

Dear Ching, Thank you for your inquiry. The Macau Maritime Ferry Terminal is just beside the Macau airport so you can walk to the ferry terminal from the airport. The last boat to Hong Kong departs at 23:59, and the price is HK$184/USD24/CNY144 per adult.
