Hi, Which is the best way if I travel from Beijing to Nanjing(bullet train or flight, both almost same costs, but train take 4hours, flight 2hours) but flight need reach earlier to check in,and one more problem is airport far away from Nanjing town around 50km,will waste Some time on road, also costing if take taxi, so please advice, thx.
Dear KG,
Just like you said, it takes 4 hours by bullet train and 2 hours by flight. It costs about CNY450-750(US$72-120) by train and the airfare is more expensive than the rate of train ticket, but sometimes you could get a good discount.
To take a flight is more comfortable than taking a train, but Beijing airport and Nanjing airport is far from the downtown, you need to spend much time and extra money to take a shuttle bus or taxi to get to down town, and you had to arrive at Beijing airport one hour before departure time at least. So I suggest you take a bullet train. There are many options every day, you'd better buy it in advance.

I will visit nanjing by the middlE of this mont until the middle of next year. I have a. 1 year baby. Is the weather safe for her? And can I get food easily for baby there?
Hi Leony, Nanjing is cold in winter time, with heavy humidity and occasional snow. November is a little warm. January is the coldest month with the low temperature dropping to -7 °C (19 °F). The average low and high temperature is respectively at 0 °C (32 °F) and 9 °C (49 °F) in December, -2 °C (29 °F) and 7 °C (44 °F) in January. Down jackets or cotton-padded coats, sweaters and thick jeans are suitable to cope with the weather. I don't know if this weather will be safe or not, to a baby of 1 year old. But it is easily to get food for baby in Nanjing.

Hi,What is the weather like in January in China? What things should I bring to be prepare for the winter weather? We are planning a 15 days tour. We will tour The Great Wall, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, Lama Temple, Beijing Zoo, Nanjing Purple Mountain, Nanjing Museum, Suzhou garden, Water villege, Shanghai Bund, Shanghai city Museum, etc.;We will stay in Beijing for 4 days, nanjing for 3 days, Suzhou for 3 days, Shanghai for 3 days.
Hi Anna, China is a huge country, there is a big range from north to central and south. Beijing is in the north while Shanghai, Nanjing and Suzhou is in the central. January is the coldest month in Beijing. Heating is supplied 24 hours a day. It is warm inside the houses, but outside it is freezing and windy. So it is suggested that you prepare warm clothes, such as thick sweaters, down-filled coats, gloves and hat to keep warm outside. It may snow sometimes. And it is very dry.
There is no big difference for the weather in Shanghai, Nanjing and Suzhou. The average temperature of around 2 °C (36 °F), but it could be bone-piercing cold. So almost same clothes to prepare.
A small suggestion to your tour plan. As you have 3 days in Suzhou, so I suggest that you leave one day for Hangzhou, which was regarded as Heaven on earth together with Suzhou. And it is not far away, even less than 2hr by bullet train.
We can tailor make this tour for you if you have interest. Please just let me know the number of people in your group and hotel level. Then we will send you a tentative itinerary. Okay? Waiting for your good news.

I will be in Nanjing for 2.5 days in November on business. I will arrive on a Sunday morning from Shanghai via bullet train. Will that give me time to see the Nanjing Massacre Memorial Hall, the Nanjing National Museum (if that is the right name) and the Ming tombs in a single day? Are they close to each other? Are there one day tours? I will stay at the Nanjing Central Hotel. Thanks so much.
Hi John, yes they are not far away. We can arrange this one day tour for you. How many people are there in your group, please?
