We will be flying into Shanghai from Guilin, spend a couple of nights in Shanghai and then get a train to Suzhou for a few more days from where we will get a train straight to the international airport in Shanghai to fly home via Dubai to Cape Town, South Africa. Which(budget) accommodation area in Shanghai would be most convenient?

It is about 8 km form Lingling road to the bund. There is no direct bus or subway, i suggest you take a taxi directly. It takes about 20-30 minutes, it costs about CNY30/US$5 per car.

We are staying in Shanghai for a few days and would like to make a day trip to Yixing to see the clay tea pots being made and hopefully buy one. Can we do this in a day or would it be best to have a night stop in Yixing? Is it best to go by bus OR train? Where is the best place to see the Teapots in Yixing? How do we get there from the town? Thank you kindly. Peter
Asked by Peter Zabell on Aug. 28, 2014
(Aug. 30, 2014) replied:
It takes around 3 hours from Shanghai to Yixing by high-speed train, it is the best option, and one day trip should be OK for you. However, if time permits and you are very intereted in the tea pot, you can stay there for longer time to see more.

I found out some information on line, there is a bus from Shanghai south bus station to Poyang every day. It sets off at 8:35am and it costs about CNY190/US$32 per person. I suggest you'd better get the new information from the bus station. The station is at No. 666 Shilong Road, Minhang District(闵行区石龙路666号）

I will be visiting Hangzhou on September , can I know is there any bullet train station from Wuzhen to Shanghai city?
Asked by Choy Leong Foong on Aug. 27, 2014
(Aug. 28, 2014) replied:
There is no train from Wuzhen to Shanghai. You could take a bus to get there. There are two direct buses every day, setting off at 6:40am and 12:40pm. It takes about 2 hours.
You could also take a bus to Jiaxing(嘉兴）, then change another bus to Shanghai. There are many buses from Jiaxing.
