My wife and I are planning to have a week holiday in China, at the end of October, either Beijing or Shanghai, which is a better destination during that period, or we can cover both cities with speed train? We can also consider just Shanghai with day trips to Suzhou and Hangzhou, but need recommendation. Thank you in advance.

Hi Brett, Beijing and Shanghai are 2 of the most popular cities for tourists to China, both are can't missing. Yes, you can cover both with speed train. We can also arrange day trips from Shanghai to Suzhou and Hangzhou. We will send you a tentative itinerary for your reference. Kind regards, Whitney

Which is a better choice?1. Shanghai to Suzhou noon time by train, accommodation in Suzhou for 2 nights. Tour some gardens & attractive places in the afternoon.. Visit Zhouzhuang water town the next day and other gardens. OR2. Shanghai to Zhouzhuang by bus. have half day trip in Zhouzhuang. Late evening to Suzhou by bus and stay 2 nights in Suzhou. Visit gardens and other places the next day.If l choose 2, my concern is whether there is luggage storage facilities at bus station in Zhouzhuang or nearby area which are secured and safe to keep our luggages for several hours?Hope you can give me some advise... Thank you

Dear PS Toh, I recommend option 1,it is not a good idea to take bus from Shanghai to Zhouzhuang, there is no place to store your luggage at the bus station in zhouzhuang and there are only two buses available from Shanghai to zhouzhuang in the afternoon, one leaves at 14:20 and another one at 16:50. From Suzhou to Zhouzhuang, the bus is available every half an hour from 7am to 6pm. I also received your question about how to join our community. Dear Geok Lan, Based on the former data, the average temperature will be 10-17℃ in Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou. It will be cool, you could take a coat or a light sweater. Here is an useful website to check the new information. You could check it before leaving for China. Hi. I am planning to go Shanghai on this coming November. And stay at SuZhou for 2 weeks. Does the weather is same?? Should I bring sweater and umbrella? And, is it I can take the train from shanghai airport as I reach around 2200hrs to reach Suzhou? Or taxi?

Dear Even, The weather in Suzhou is the same as that in Shanghai, the average temperature will be 10-18℃. You need to take some thick coats and sweater. It rarely rains, but i am not sure if it is by rainy during that time. It is easy to buy an umbrella and it is cheap. As you will arrive in Shanghai too late, there is no bus to Suzhou from Shanghai Pudong airport. You could take a train from Shanghai railway station and the last one sets off at 23:48pm. It takes about 1 hour. You need to take Maglev from Pudong airport to Longyang Road, it takes 8 minutes. Then take a taxi, it takes about half an hour. You could have enough time to get on a train.
