Hi Wendy, September is not the typhoon or raining season. There may be, but not often.  It is still hot in Sep., with average low and high temperature of 27 °C (80 °F) and 29 °C (85 °F). While in the north the weather starts to cool off a bit towards the end of the month. You can visit the Shilin Night Market士林夜市 in Taipei.

Please kindly advise the number of people, then we will arrange a van for you and send you the quotation.

Hi Jessie, it would be better if you rent a van to cover all of these places. Because there are no trains or buses to and from Yehliu Park.

Hi there, My family and I will be visiting Taiwan from 21 to 28 Jan 2013. Just like to check whether sweaters and coats (medium thickness) will be sufficient at this time of year. Is there a need for thick winter jackets? My parents are 80 years of age and they are worried about the weather being cold. Thanks.

Whitney Liao (Jan. 09, 2013) replied:

Hi Debbie, January is not very cold in Taiwan, with average low and high temperatures of 13 °C (55 °F) and 16 °C (61 °F). For adults,  sweaters and coats (medium thickness) will be sufficient. But for elderly people, a thicker overcoat is suggested in case wind blows. You can also check the up to date weather information via here: http://www.weather.com.cn/en/weather/101340101.shtml

Hi! We have an upcoming trip to Taipei this 14-19Mar2013. Would you know if there will be cherry blossoms to see by this time? I have read somewhere that the nearest site where we can see cherry blossoms in Taipei is the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall. May I also know if Yangmingshan National Park is accessible via subway? Can we expect to see cherry blossoms there by this time? Thanks!

You are right that you can enjoy Cherry blossoms in the Yangmingshan National Park. It is just 10 mins from city area to there.

guest (Jan. 15, 2013) replied:

Thanks for the response Christy. Cherry blossoms can also be found in the Yangmingshan National Park, right? How many hours would it take to travel from the city to Yangmingshan National Park? Thanks!

Christy Luo (Jan. 08, 2013) replied:

Hi Edge,

It is Christy from China Highlights, your travel advisor. I’m happy here to help you.

You can enjoy cherry blossoms in March there. You don’t need to take subway to Yangmingshan National Park. There are many bus from bus station to the Park, only 10 mins driving distance.

Hi, I''m planning a trip to taiwan for a week. Tentative date will be 23 -31 March 2013.It will be a family of 4 (including 2 elderly). We will arrive at Taipei but intend to travel to Kaohsiung or some other parts of taiwan. Could you kindly suggest what are the places we should go and recommend a person driver for full day tour service. Appreciate if we could have the costing for it.
