Hello. Tianjin is located in North China, near Beijing, so they have similar weather. December is winter, so it will be cold, temperature from 3C to -6C. You need to prepare warm clothes, even down jackets. You can also visit our Beijing weather page for more information. (http://www.chinahighlights.com/beijing/weather.htm)

I am coming to Tianjin August 28, I want to know if there is a trip you can take from there to go to the great wall or do you have to go to Beijing to take a bus trip there?

The Huangya Guan Great Wall has fewer tourists but famous in Hebei Province. We could provide a trip for you either in Tianjin or Beijing. However, I suggest you to visit the Huangya Guan Great Wall if you do not want to stay overnight in Beijing, because the private transfer for Tianjin-Beijing (2hrs) is very expensive, of course, you could take a train instead. Would you please answer a few questions so that we can construct an itinerary that gives you what you want at the best possible price? 1. Number of people in your group including yourself 2. Length of stay in China 3. City or cities of entry/exit 4. Start date of Tour 5. Places or attraction that you want to visit 6. Class of Hotel: tourist/Deluxe/superior 7. Estimative total budget per person. Please send the information to me and I will reply you within 24 hours. My e-mail adress: delia@chinahighlights.com

Hello. Happy to know that. Tianjin City is very worth visiting, besides the rich cultural historical sites, you can also taste the numerous local food and snacks. The city is one of the important trade ports in North China, so it is also a very good shopping place. Tianjin is about 120 kilometers from Beijing. Transportation is very convenient with frequent buses and trains. If you take trains with initial letter C, it will take only half an hour. Other trains take one and a half hours, but cheaper. Buses are also many, and you can go to the long distance bus stations and several other long distance bus stations in Tianjin to take the bus. Bus ride takes about 2 hours. It is possible to meet traffic jam if you take the bus, so I would recommend that you take the train, which is convenient, fast and comfortable. Hello. Mid-to-end September is turning to Autumn in China. The weather is mostly likely to be sunny and dry. You can wear summer clothes during the day, but in early morning and in the evening, you might feel a bit cold, so prepare some coats will be advisable. It is also suggested that you drink more water and eat some fruits and vegetables every day because of the dry weather in North China. If you need tour services in China, feel free to send us your inquiry to service@chinahighlights.com, our professional travel advisors are glad and ready to help arrange.
Jean Fu (Jul. 28, 2010) replied:
It is usually sunny but also get cool from mid of September. In morning and evening, in noon or early of afternoon, T-shirt should be ok. Coat and sweater are also suggested because it will be very cool in morning and evening, sometimes maybe a little cold. Should you need any other help on the tour, please feel free to contact us.
