Hi, my husband and myself are planning a holiday trip to China this year. He would very much like to catch snow as he has never been to a winter season before. We are looking at around 8-9days trip to either Beijing,Shanghai or Xian. Any advice? Also, we hope to avoid December. Thank you.
Topic From: Luoyang Railway Station
is luoyang railway station also the same train station for bullet trains to xian (how much, travel time?) and regular trains to xian (how much, travel time?) and also the bus stop for the longmen grottoes and shaolin temple for day trips? (how much, details?) if i''m coming from zhengzhou what are the options to get here? any good hotels near / around the station? also what is the frequency of the trains to xian and bus/train from zhengzhou?
Luoyang bullet train station is different from Luoyang train station. Bullet train station, also called longmen train station, just near longmen grottoes, is about 20 minutes away from luoyang train station.
all train time and costs can be found here:

There are many trains from Luoyang to Xian, every half hour, a train is available. Bus is the same as well.
Topic From: Xian Weather in May
Hi I''m planning to visit Xi An 18th of June. What is the average temperature for day and night time?
Thank you for your enquiry.
According the former data, the average temperature is between to 30℃ to 38℃(86℉-100.4℉)in June.Xi''an is typically scorching with strong sunshine at noon. Visitors should avoid going to outdoor sights at noon, such as the Ancient City Wall, and visit indoor sights instead, such as Shaanxi History Museum. Bring sunglasses, sunscreen and hats, eat more fruits and vegetables, and drink plenty of water when going sightseeing. Cool mountains around the city such as Huashan Mountain are very popular among travelers for escaping the heat.
If you need any tour service in Xi''an. please feel free to let me know.
wish you have a nice day

We are planning a trip to Xian China for 5-6 days in July,12. Can you please guide us regarding the Visa formalities( contact points for Visa processing & time taken to obtain visa/ travel documents required for Visa)/ Airtravel from Kolkata//Delhi/Mumbai Airport in India or Dhaka in Bangladesh & tentative budget flights/Hotel informations and sight seeing for Two persons.Your earliest response would be highly appreciated as we need to plan the trip accordingly. Thanks & Regards,Dr. Saibal ChatterjeeCamp : Kolkata, INDIAMobile : +91 9830337807e.mail : saibal1109@rediffmail.com saibalchatterjee119@gmail.com
Hello Saibal, i have sent you a proposal by email, please check your email. Chinese visa is generally valid for 3 months from the issue date to enter China. Please apply for your visa within 3 months of entry into according to your travel itinerary, and avoid expiry of visa, or extra cost of urgent fee due to lack of application process time.
According to my experience, it can be worked out in 7 working days at Chinese Embassy easily and costs US$140-170 per person for a single-entry visa (30-day stay).
For visa application, you will to prepare these documents: your passport (original, not a copy), which must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel, with at least one blank visa page (amendment pages and pages with bar codes are not acceptable for visa stamping).
One completed, signed Visa Application Form for each passport, with two passport photos.
The Chinese consulate requires a photo similar to the one in your passport. They will only accept photos which are head-only, full frontal, with a white background, approximately 1-1/2" by 2". Cut-outs from personal photographs are not acceptable.
When you have the required items ready, submit the application at the visa office of China embassy/consulate-general in your country.

If children purchase a discounted ticket on a soft sleeper, do they get a bed? We have two adults, one child (age 4) who would be free, and two children (ages 7 and 9) who could purchase discounted tickets, but our tour guide says you do not get a bed with a discounted ticket.
Topic From: Beijing-Xian/Xian-Beijing Train
How much would a soft sleeperfrom Xian to. Beijing on June 13 cost for two adults and three children ages 4, 7, 9?
Hi, Stacey, the ticket price for soft sleeper from Xian to Beijing is around US$73 per adult. For children, it depends on the height of the child:
If the child is below 1.1 meter, one adult could take one child for free and the child won't get a bed and need to share with adult.
If the child is between 1.1 to 1.4 meter, it charges half price.
If the child is above 1.4 meter, it charges the same as adult.
