Xi’an has world class ancient, religious, cultural, and natural attractions, including: Terracotta Warriors and Horses, The Ancient City Wall, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Small Wild Goose Pagoda, Huaqing Hot Springs, Mount Hua, Banpo Museum, The Forest of Steles , The Great Mosque, and Qianling Mausoleum. We have some tour packages for reference, please click: http://www.chinahighlights.com/xian/tours.htm To realize the details about the attractions, please click: http://www.chinahighlights.com/xian/attraction/ In November, the temperature  The average daily high is only 12 °C (54 °F), and there is a big temperature drop between daytime and nighttime. You'll need to bring warm winter clothing. Many people put on dusk masks during smoggy days, and these might prove useful for you too.

I am in Xi''an, spending time primarily in the high tech district. I would like to learn more about the old city, etc, language, culture. I also really need help in getting a phone that works here. Perhaps a private tour might be helpful.

My husband and I have booked a trip to bejing, xian, tibetand river cruise. unfortunately we arrive on Oct 1, 2014. I am concerned about the crowds and our ability to enjoy the sites in the city and tombs. At the time of booking Viking cruises did not tell us that this is a major holiday and extremely busy. We will be visiting from the US and this was to be a trip of lifetime. Do you recommend that we reschedule our trip for a later date despite the extra costs for making these airline and tour company changes?

Dear Sandra Terwillegar, In fact, there are lots of tourist in the scenic spots, because from Oct. 1 to Oct. 7 it is Chinese National Holiday. You could spend long time to join the queue for tickets. It also might affect you to take some good photos. If you could, I suggest you change your travel time.
