We''ll be on HK-Macau tour on Feb 12-14, 1st day in HK, Day 2, from HK to Macau via ferry. While in Macau, I''m planning a side trip in Zhuhai. Then return back to Macau late afternoon to catch the ferry back to HK. Is that possible?

Dear Justin,

Zhuhai is next to Macau, it is more convenient to take a bus or a taxi from Macau to Zhuhai through Gongbei port. If you would like to visit Zhuhai, please make sure apply for a China visa in your country in advance.

Whitney Liao (Jan. 31, 2013) replied:

Hi Angela, it is a convenient visa for visitors from Macau or Hongkong entering into the Pearl River Delta. Usually it takes 1-2 working days to complete it. To apply for it, we need the scanned copy of your passports.  But right now, I am afraid that we are not able to offer a hand for this situation.

Dear Sir or Madam,

There are many train from Zhuhai railway station to Guangzhou south railway station. It takes about 1-1.5 hours and it costs about CNY70-90/US$11-14 per person.

Then you could take line 2 subway to Guangzhou railway station. There are some Clothes Wholesale Markets around there. E.G.

1. Baima Market (the most popular one, located opposite Guangzhou Railway Station)

2.Tianma (next to Bama and famous for domestic brand clothes)

3.Xindadi (situated opposite Bama and mainly sales woolen sweaters and cardigans)

4. Hongmian Bubugao (located behind Bama and famous for women''s clothing)

Is it possible to get to Wailingding Island from Hong Kong? Also where can I find hotel rates for Wailingding Island?

Lussie Lu (Jan. 22, 2013) replied:

Dear Sir or Madam,

There is no direct ferry from Hong Kong to Wailingding Island. You could take a ship from Hong Kong to Zhuhai Jiuzhougang port, it takes about 70 minutes and costs about CNY175/US$28 per person. Then take a taxi to Xiangzhougang port, it takes half an hour and costs about CNY30/US$5 per car. There are some ships to Wailingding Island. It takes about 1.5 hours and costs about CNY70/US$11 per person.

We don't have any information about the hotel on the Island, so I search it on line, here are two hotels for reference.

1. Haixin Hotel(珠海外伶仃岛海馨酒店), it is about 200 m from Wailingding port.

2. Xiangsilin resort (珠海东部相思林度假村), it is about 1 km form Wailingding prot.

Hi Amaraa, the railway station in Beijing is Beijing West Railway Station. From Guangzhou to Macau, you can take bus at Guangzhou Tianhe Interstate Bus Terminal天河客运站 or at Garden Hotel花园酒店,OR take bullet train from Guanghzou South Railway Station to Zhuhai, then pass the customes, you will get into Macau.
