What are the hotels like in the remote areas in China?

The condition of Hotels in China's remote areas such as Guizhou in Southwest China, Xinjiang in Northwest China usually can not match the unique charm of these places. The number of hotels is limited and hotel facilities and service standards may be quite basic. In some small cities/towns such as Tashikuergan Town and Niya Town, Hetian in Xinjiang, central heating and cooling facility are usually unavailable. Hot water supply is not always available. Blackouts often happen during nights to save energy.
