Shanghai to Welcome All-Round Consulting Service for Inbound Tourist

With the approaching of 2008 Olympic Games and 2010 world EXPO, Shanghai strengthens to build its public tourist consulting service system. Tourist service hotline-962020 has been in use.

Presently, all 3, 4 and 5-star hotels have installed E-DTONG— a multimedia touch-screen system. This system provides all kinds of information about Shanghai such as travel itinerary, E-map, traffic, hotel and entertainment in three different languages including English, Chinese and Japanese. At the same time, Shanghai tourist hotline-962020 adds more information, such as festivals, shopping, and tickets for the Yangtze River Delta.

Language in use of hotline 962020 Service will be increased to five different languages. In addition, inbound tourist can get more information of Shanghai and Yangtze River Delta through special websites such as and .
