Dear Victor,

I am sorry that it has taken so long to reply to you. Art and I had a magical trip in China because of all you did for us at CITS, and especially because of our tour guide, Michael Mo, and our driver Mr. Yao was amazing. I am not very good at e-mail, so cannot start new paragraphs.

To answer your questions:

1.The person we had contact with was Victor Shu. He answered our e-mail immediately, which was good, because we did not give you much time before we needed plans. You listened carefully to all our requests and more than met our needs, including sending tickets to Hong Kong. You were very patient in answering all of our questions, and you asked us important questions that gave you knowledge of how to make our trip better.

2.You arranged our tour beyond all expectations. By giving us Michael Mo as our guide, you built in flexibility. Michael took us to all the tour spots, which we enjoyed. Sp; I think he realized that we would rather interact with and take pictures of the beautiful Chinese people than the interesting places, so after the first day of sightseeing in Guilin, Michael guided us to see things that few Americans would usually see. Victor, you did build this into our itinerary. Thank you.

3.I thought the hotels were what I expected, clean, comfortable. In every place, the people at the desk were very nice to us. The people who served us breakfast were especially wonderful. They spoke English well and helped me learn a little Chinese. They were open, friendly, well-trained, and delightful. The Guilin area is doing a good job training people to help tourists. Many young people wanted to practice their English with us so they could enter the tourist trade. All were polite. Your scenery is some of the most beautiful in the world, and your people are an even greater asset.

4.Art and I hired a car and driver, Mr.Yao, and a tour guide. Mr. Yao is probably the best driver I have ever driven with. I could not believe how careful and skillful he was. Michael Mo was the best tour guide we have ever had. (Though we have not had many.) He stayed with us during our five day stay. Michael has a confident atitude. He speaks better English than I do. He was willing to answer every question we asked, was open and friendly, and encouraged us to look around on our own. He knows a tremendous amount about the areas we went, and was unafraid to ask if he did not know answers. A great sense of humor, the ability to be flexible, and his willingness to share his life with us made Michael special.

5.Meals The box lunch was okay, but not as good as the little restaurant that Michae! L chose for us the next day. Local food was so good! Michael ordered terrific things for us three times, and those were our best meals.

6.I enjoyed the sights of Guilin: Elephant Hill Park, Camel Hill Park, Reed Flute Cave, the Ming Tomb. The foot massage was painful for us, and not what I would do again. I did enjoy the tea plantation and ceremony. Art especially loved the Li River cruise. Both of us enjoyed the lovely town of Yangshuo. That two day trip was the highlight for me. The Dong Village was a lot of fun. We did enjoy the hair ceremony and singing and dancing. We were pleased that we could visit a rural school, a saw mill, and bamboo container-making Operation. I loved the countryside and the people there. The hot springs was refreshing, the scenery breathtaking, and the people lovely. I am so glad that Michael allowed us to join him for meals at the Hot Springs and the little town the next day. We watched of fish being caught and the chicken being killed and cleaned and the food being cooked. In the United States, we are no longer close to our food source. All of the local eating areas offered delicious food, and we suffered no upset from it. It is important for you to know that Art became very sick from a respretory ailment. We were unable to see some of the sights that were planned. Michael found good medical attention for Art, changed plans so that we could meet his beautiful family, and made that last day even better than anything we could have wished.

7. Yes, we recommend your service! Our friends all know about you, and I hope we will be able to travel with you again.

8. I would give you a 9.9 on a scale of 10.
