Dear Aileen, I would like to give you a follow-up on our tour of China. We found our experience to be very interesting and enlightening. China is a remarkable country, and there are not enough superlatives to describe what we found. The Yangtze River was one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. The depth of history is almost incomprehensible; given how short the history of the United States is after the Europeans arrived. I was amazed at the complexities of early Chinese civilizations. Thank you so much. We received our airplane tickets in Beijing as promised. We were met at the airport in Chongqing as promised. Our tour guide, David, accompanied us to the hotel. He was polite and eager to share with us information about Chongqing. He seemed to enjoy his job. He verified our arrangements at the hotel before he left. The hotel in Chongqing was very nice. We enjoyed excellent food and service. Our bus to Fengdu was prompt. We enjoyed the bus ride through the countryside. It gave us a much different view than we would have gotten from the river. The Pingfu was great. We were three of only nine passengers on the boat and the staff treated us well. Staff members were friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful. Our river tour guide, Anna, was very knowledgeable and gracious. Thank you again for your help. It has been a pleasure working with you.
