Dear Sunny,

We felt China Highlights exceeded our expectations in every regard. Starting with Sunny, who was so helpful in personalizing our itinerary. Then the memorable tour guides Sam (in Beijing) and driver Mr. Bai (the best driver in Beijing) to Sonan in Lhasa and driver Nema there. These two stood out for their very different but pleasing personalities. I also want to single out Helen in Xining for her professionalism. Every member of your staff was punctual, and always where they were supposed to be. They were all knowledgable and proud of their heritage.

We really enjoyed the Shangbala in Lhasa--clean, friendly, English speaking (more or less)staff, quiet, with a very good breakfast. As two women traveling alone, we always felt safe everywhere in China and Tibet.

Comments about our trip:

1. Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Summer Palace--all truly amazing, must see


2. Acrobatic Show--very enjoyable, highly recommend


3. Hiking the Great Wall-- the highlight of our trip. Hiked the Mutianyu section, will never forget this experience. Recommend skipping Badaling, and going to Mutianyu or Jinshanling
   
4. Terra Cotta Warriors--another awe inspiring must see in China!


5. Xian City Wall--very interesting, wished we had had time to bike it


6. Lhasa--loved it! Don't miss the Tibet Summit Fine Art Cafe for cheap internet, fantastic coffee, and super friendly staff. Be sure to get a massage at the Braile Without Borders school for the blind.


7. Potala Palace--8th wonder of the world. Don't miss.


8. Yangtze River Cruise--fun, comfortable, clean, great food, English speaking staff.
