Finding a China Holiday

We had a wonderful trip. Thanks very much. Here are the answers to your questions:

Attractions: There were so many memorable attractions that we visited; Yellow Mountains, Hongcun, Guilin, Yangshou, Lijiang. Perhaps for me, the most memorable was the Yellow Mountain area. I had heard about the Yellow Mountains from reading travel journals, but the beauty of this area was spectacular. Each hill presented a new viewpoint that was amazing. The mist and clouds combined to make the hills and trees a magical place.

My second favorite was Guilin/Yangshou. This area is simply amazing. The limestone karst hills seem out of this world. Being able to experience a boat ride, bicycle ride, hiking and bamboo raft in this area allowed us to really see an up-close view of the incredible scenery.

Guide: All of our tour guides were wonderful. Libby (Yellow Mountains) spoke the best English, Lilly (Guilin/Yangshou) was the most personable, and Peter (Lijiang) provided the best historical perspective on the places. We were very impressed by the quality of the guides. They were better than we had hoped. They provided flexibility when needed, They all took care to make sure that our trip was outstanding, and they all did an excellent job. I complement you on the guides that you've provided. Very well done.

Hotels and meals: all of the hotels were up to standard. Our two most favorite hotels were; Jiannanchun Hotel in Lijiang - we enjoyed the guest house layout and open courtyard architecture of the hotel, as well as the central location within the old city; White Lion Hotel in Yangshou - we enjoyed the hotel hospitality and central location.

W will definitely recommend your company to friends and colleagues. In fact, we have already begun recommending your company to others. Your company did an outstanding job. All of the guides were excellent, the flight and travel connections were perfect, and the overall program was wonderful. It was a perfect balance of scenery, historical tours, and sight-seeing. Well done!

One of my favorite attractions was the "Impression Sanjie Liu" night show. This was a spectacular performance, and well worth the cost. In our case, when we were watching the show, there was lighting far away in the hills, and this made the dramatic scenes and lighting even more spectacular when combined with the natural lighting and sounds of thunder. Another attraction that was very enjoyable was bicycle riding out in the countryside. This was a really good way to see some of the countryside up close. (Rice fields, other on bicycle, people walking)
