Dear Tina,

The most memorable attraction was The Tibetan Quarter in Lhasa (Barkhor)

Norbu, our guide in Tibet was most impresive because of his kindness and knowledge about the places we visited. The drives did well too.

Regarding hotels, House of Shambala (Lhasa hotel) and Landscape hotel (Dali) are very nice.

Tibetan street near the Gyantse Temple (Kumbun): Traditional tibetan houses and kind people all around, which made it to go wow factor. It is now under renovation so it is going to loose its interest quickly.

And Shangrila has a very interesting group of houses near Songtsam Retreat Hotel, in our opinion much more interesting than the Tibetan quarter in the town center.Visiting houses of different ethnics (Dai, Bulang...) in Xishuangbanna was nice.

Other suggestions, the trek from Ganden Monastery to Samye Monastery in Tibet was quite hard but worthy. In this trek you can see not only stunning landscape but nomad people with their cuttle. It is really interesting to wander around the Tibetan Quarter in Lhasa (Barkhor) and to meet pilgrims from all around Tibet, dressed in a very colourful way.Although Dali has an important touristic development, it still worths a visit specially to meet Bai people.

I will recommend your company to my friends.

Kind regards

Xabier
