We have just returned from our tour to China and would like to thank you and China Hightlights for helping create a really great holiday. Overall the tour we booked through China Highlights was excellent. Everything went to plan in relation to all our accomodation and travel arrangements.
Two tour guides stood out particularly for us and they were Tony in Hangzhou and Lucy in Beijing. They spoke good English, were very knowledgeable and were good fun to be with.
In terms of accommodation all was of a high standard. The stand out accomodation for us was the Beijing Double Happiness Courtyard Hotel. While the rooms were not to the size or standard of the other bigger hotels we stayed in this was more than offset by the location in the heart of a real hutong area and by the level of friendly personal service and attention to detail by the hotel which created a very memorable stay. The hotel in Xian was quite a distance from the main areas of town and not in a particularly appealing area. The actual hotel itself was fine.
The high speed train journey from Hangzhou to Beijing was a great experience. An opportunity to see the changing countryside as we headed into north China.
Finally thanks for all your support and assistance in helping put this tour together. It provided us with a fantastic opportunity to visit and experience your country.
