Hi Grace
I’m back finally settled in after a week. Trip was really good as mainly the company was fantastic.
The only complaint I have is the weather is just too hot and I shop so much that I was 16kg overweight … and the few thick winter jackets that I’ve packed contributed to my overweight too which I didn’t get a chance to wear them as it was even HOT up in Yellow Mountain my dear!!!!!!!
And had to borrow money (luckily I met someone) to pay for the excess baggage at Shanghai airport since your bank didn’t want our Malaysian dollars. It was really so frustrating … I didn’t bother to handcarry too much as I didn’t want to lug all the heavy stuffs around and my other friends who left the next day were smarter than me – they handcarried all the heavy stuffs and only check in exactly 20kg which is their limit allowance!
Shopping was great in Shanghai and all the places we decided to visit. Food was the best in Suzhou and Allan is really good.
Anyway, I wonder if you do have just a tour to Harbin coz I heard from my friends during the Shanghai trip that it’s a place worth to visit or rather they were more dramatic – MUST GO IN THIS LIFETIME!!!!!!!
Am thinking of organizing for my year end family trip which is only six (6) of us.
Will u consider such a small group? Please let me know and if you have such kind of trip or even incl. two places nearby, pls let me have the itinerary so I can consider. Time that my family is free should be around 12th Dec 09 – 11th Jan 2010.
Thanks.
Michelle
Dear Grace,
Sorry for the delayed response....catching up on work and due to Muslim New Year, staff all on leave and there were only two of us left to man the office.
Huangshan was the most memorable attraction we visited during the tour. The Most outstanding was Allan in Suzhou but generally all the guides were good and they have their own strengths in different ways. For example in Jiangziajie - Sunny, although her English was not excellent, she tried to express herself quite well...she reacted very well when on the way to airport we came across an accident and we were advised by the Police that they don't know when the traffic would clear, she asked the driver to go by the village way (long and winding) and along the way, she also had to help to direct the vehicles as none could pass without any direction in view of its narrow road. Journey was longer for us. We still manage to go for our massage but missed out on dinner. We even learned how to sing a song on the way to the airport. Any chance you can contact her and ask her to write it down in 'pin yin' for us so that we can still sing the song. She did write it down in mandarin for one of our co-member.
Bund Hotel in Shanghai was the best with its wide choice of breakfast. The best lunch was in Suzhou organised by Allan. We only had 5 minutes to go before closing time but Allan managed to wrangle through and insisted that we have the lunch at this restaurant when the reception made so much noise that we did not have the booking there and that we were late. It was the best lunch we had. The wow factor is the lunch we had in Suzhou when Allan insisted we have lunch there as we did tell him we could go somewhere else if the restaurant was not willing to serve us. We enjoyed the shopping in Yuyuan Garden and went there twice during our short stay in Shanghai.
Thanks again for your help. We have been most happy with your service.
Rgds
Jen
PS:I have also told my cousins who came from Perth recently that should they want to go to China, do contact me for your email address as we have been most happy with China Highlights services todate.
