Dear Steven,

I just wanted to let you know that Karen has expedited all arrangements for our trip to China in a thoroughly professional manner. She made some excellent suggestions and answered all my questions very promptly.

If our trip continues in this way I think we will have a truly memorable experience.

Hi Lisa,

I thought you might like to know that our trip surpassed all our expectations. It looked good on paper before we left home but Karen seems to have understood exactly the things that we would enjoy.

We saw a great mix of modern, old, and ancient China.

Our guides were intelligent, well informed and looked after us very well indeed. Before we left Australia,my husband had not been very well but he insisted we go and I would particularly like to commend Percy our guide in Beijing ..He was so patient with our many stops and helped my husband climb the many steps. He had a good sense of humour and would be a good guide for any age group, but I feel he has a special affinity with older people.

Our drivers were so good - I don't know how they remain calm in the sometimes daunting traffic.

The hotels were a good mix. My favourite was the Brickyard Inn at Mutianya and Garry's was the wonderful Hilton at Xi'an. For location the Double Happiness Courtyard Hotel in Beijing would be hard to beat.

The variety of restaurants was really interesting and it was nice to have the occasional western meal. Our favourite restarant was the amazing Fangshanfanzhuang. The Mongolian restaurant was closed so we opted for a Beijing Duck restaurant - Quinlade I think- and it was a bit ordinary.

Of all the sights we saw I think our day at Longsheng Rice Terraces was the one we will remember most. Meeting real Chinese people gave us so much pleasure. We have some wonderful memories (and some wonderful pictures - thank you Percy and Henry)

Honestly, Lisa, I think China Highlighlights is doing a great job and would recommend them to anyone. You really listen and tailor trips to suit and then make sure everything runs perfectly.

Thank you.

Regards,

Barbara and Garry
