In June we had a holiday in Guilin, Yangshou and Xian that was organized by Delia Xie at China Highlights. One never expects EVERYTHING to go right when traveling but Delia‘s preparation of the itinerary and the service provided by the guides was just excellent and EVERYTHING did go right. Transport, accommodation and meals were very good and the places of interest we visited were interesting and provided a fascinating insight into the Chinese lifestyle, culture and history. The Terracotta Warriors were the main reason we went to China and our visit there was a lifetime experience -impressive, fascinating, enthralling? How can you describe such a treasure. Through Delia we had booked to visit the Relic Repair Studio in the Warriors complex where we met the Director and were able to see Warriors, horses and other historical items undergoing repair. To see the fingerprints on the surface of the terracotta on the inside surface of a Warrior left by the person that made it thousands of years ago was a truly unique experience. The visit to the Relic Repair Studio was expensive but to inspect and stand beside Warriors and horses was a truly wonderful experience and worth every cent.
Delia and our guide Lele in Guilin and Summer in Xian gave us a happy, enjoyable and memorable holiday. China Highlights and consultant Delia are highly recommended to anyone wanting to plan a visit to China.

We were very satistied with all aspects of our visit to Guilin and Yangshuo. Everything that we looked was provided as descibed, on time without any difficulties. Our visit to the Terracotta Warriors was a wonderful experience and although entry to the Relic Repair Studio was expensive it was worth every cent to be able to get up close and personal with some Warriors and took our appreciation and understanding of how the Warriors were made and the way they are being restored to a completely higher level. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
A personal thank you for organizing the visit.
Greetings from USA,( heaven for some and hell for the other...)!
After a week, I have completely recovered from my strenuous China journey. It was hard traveling, but I am still alive and enjoyed the guide service very much!
My travel to China this time has been memorable. China changed a lot since 2002. The cities are clean, people are still good and hospitable and friendly. There are many things to see in China. And I am sorry I didn't get to met some of you personally. But that's reality in life.
My next quest would be: Shanghai, Qufu, Huangshan, Suzhou, Hangzhou...
With Best Wishes...come and visit me in US or Thailand, I will show you where tour companies doesn't take you.
