Hi Amm.. I’m Mandy and this is Joyce.
We are travelling with China Highlights around China. We have been to Beijing. The nighttime markets is brilliant, I would so recommend it. We have been Xian. very interesting and original history and artifact in Xian very interesting. And now, of course, Guilin is the best. At all, so far, (very scenic) is very beautiful, and the theatre---- the acrobatic theatre in Guilin thoroughly recommended.(excellent). Now we’re going and leaving to Shanghai. So we cannot comment on that. But we are sure it being as equally interesting. Thoroughly recommend China Highlights. You are the best. ( The tour guide are great, very friendly.)
It was lovely to meet you, and thank you so much for organising everything, the whole trip ran like clock work and we felt very safe, albeit a little tired now! We hope to see you again in the future.....
During the trip, Xian, Terracota Warriors, Great wall and Reed cave are the most memorable part for us. All the tour guides were excellent and each had their own special differences, but Mark excelled, he came with us to check our room, helped us to book a massage, bought my daughter a birthday card, he really took any worries away.
The Hotels were all ok, but would have prefered if they could have all been the same standard as Guilin or Shanghai. The best room was Shanghai, the best breakfast facilities was Beijing. The night time market in Beijing and shopping on the outskirts of Beijing, can't remember the name, but Susanna dropped us off, shopping at a local supermarket and bakery.
The extras on the boat cruise such as the snake wine, the acrobat show is a must for you. Most definately, I will recommend your company because I found China Highlights very professional, and all aspects of the trip really well thought through and planned.
Here are suggestions for future customers: Eat fast, as all the dishes are brought at once, or get used to eating cold food. Be aware that you maybe continuosly be looked at and often asked for your picture, but this is not meant in a negative way. Visit the bar area in Beijing, especillay Reggae bar. The Duck restaurant in Beijing was not great or value for money compared to others (a whole duck in Guilin, rather than a portion), if the restaurants could have all been to the same standard as the one in Shanghai that would have been prefered. To explore China more, would suggest using public transport (subway, bus) where possible (ie small group) especially in Beijing, where the traffic is high.
The cell phone you provided was brilliant, and very useful for family to keep in touch as well as additonal security knowing that your Tour guide is available if needed.
We really appreciate your kind help!
