Hi Nancy!

My husband and I are now back from China, and I wanted to let you know we had a great time! Thank you for all of your hard work on our behalf, especially on such short notice.

The cruise through the Three Gorges was very nice and we enjoyed our time in Beijing very much, visited just about every tourist site there. Both of the guides that met us for tours (Cindy in Wuhan and Kathy in Chongqing) were excellent, very knowledgeable, friendly, and very good English speakers. We enjoyed their company immensely.

In a word, we had a great trip and hope to visit China again soon. Next time, we'll visit Guilin!

Dear Victor:

It was nice to get your e-mail. We had a great time in China. The Qiran hotel was adequate and had a good breakfast. It was just a little far from most destinations of interest. The staff at the desk was afraid to cash some of our travelers checks because they had got wet in the rain. So we had to go to the Bank of China, where they were easily cashed. The airport to hotel transfers worked well. We found a nice restaurant near the hotel and were please to learn that nice seafood dinners in china are very reasonably priced. Taxi cab fares were also a bargain when compared to many countries. The train to Xian was great and so was the Orient hotel. The train ride to Chongqing was not quite as good because it took thirty hours. A passenger that we met told us that a better way to go, would have been to take the train to Chengdu, and then take a bus to Chongquing. Hello, Last week I sent you a E-mail written by my CO-traveler, Beverly Abisogun. We were in Guilin as a part of a tour. There were six of us, five women and one man. You were our guide and your relaxed attitude and calm manner was such a relief from the former hectic schedule we had experienced. You were so refreshing. I know that you have a busy schedule and don't have a lot of time but we would like to hear from you as to whether you can exchange the gifts Beverly purchased for her daughter. If you let her know how much the service carfare, and any incidental expenses will be, she will be glad to pay them. If you cannot do this for her it would be helpful if you could send us the name and address of the store and she might be able to deal directly with the store. Anything you can do would be helpful. Hi Paul,

My family and I thank you for being our main guide through our China trip. We enjoyed the trip very much. I also liked having a local tour guide through each city. They were very knowledgeable about each area and its history. Thank you for setting that up for us. I especially like learning about the three gorges project and its implication to China. I also enjoyed seeing Guilin and Xian again and comparing them with my impression of them when I visited those cities in 1979.

We also thank you for setting up baby sitting service for our two whiney kids.I don't think they would have done well in the heat and humidity all day. Besides, they rather enjoyed the freetime and swimming pool when available at the hotel.
