Happy New Year. I'm now on my first day back at work in the UK, having traveled back from China on 4th Jan. I just wanted to let you know that my son Daniel and I had a wonderful time on the cruise down the Yangtze, from 19th December to 22nd December. Every thing was very well organized, the pick up at the airport in Chongqing was very efficient, and the guide very knowledgeable. The cruise itself was outstanding, certainly one of the best things I have ever done. The guide on board, Richard, was very helpful and he certainly knew his information on the features of the cruise. The ship itself was superb, as was all of the staff on board. Seeing the gorges and the TGP dam itself has to go down as one of the highlights of my life. It is something I've always wanted to do, but did not think I would be able to, so it was a lifetime ambition fulfilled.

Here we are back at home after our fantastic trip to China. Thank you so much for doing all the organisation and making the holiday so memorable for us. We saw everything we wished for and were able to enjoy the travelling as well as all the sights. Our guides were all very different characters and all great!

Tiu in Beijing gave us a wonderful introduction to the Chinese people as well as to the sights. He was engaging and amusing as well as knowledgeable. It would be difficult to name one experience in Beijing as the best but we will never forget struggling along the Great Wall with people from all over the world. Clare, our Yangtze guide,was serious, thoghtful, kind and helpful. I felt she had a particularly difficult task as she was travelling with us on the boat and eating meals with us as well as being our personal guide.She was consistantly polite and helpful, clearly took her work seriously and was wonderful company. Hello bob,

Just a quick E-Mail to tell you how much we enjoyed our holiday in China.We particularly enjoyed Beijing,the terracotta warriors,the Great Wall, our evening out with you in Shanghai, and our sail up the Lijiang river.

After we left you, just before Shenzhen, we had three nights in Hong Kong which is a wonderful city.We went up the Peak, sailed round the harbour and shopped in Kowloon And Stanley Market.

I Hope you have Good memories of your Archers and Distant Dreams friends. We all wish you well with your career at C.I.T.S.I have submitted our films for processing and when they return,I am sure they will remind us of a most enjoyable holiday in China..
