Avenue of Stars
The Avenue of Stars takes the history of Hong Kong's film industry and its achieved accomplishments as it main theme.
Tablets of 73 movie celebrities are inscribed on the surface of the avenue and 30 of them have handprints of the very celebrities. At the entrance to the avenue stands a bronze status of Oscar Reward and a small stage for performance and activities. Along the avenue, there are pantry shops and souvenir shops, some movie-relative sculptures and seats for you to have a rest. In addition, some Star Ambassadors come and go on roller skates are ready to provide help.
Strolling on the Avenue of Star, visitors can view leisurely Hong Kong's famous scenes of Victoria Harbor, featured architectures along Hong Kong Island as well as the brand-new multimedia performance," A Symphony of Lights".
Geographical position: Located at the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade, it stretches from the Hong Kong Arts Hall to the New World Centre with a length of 440 meters.
How to get there: Walk outside the G Exit of Tsim Sha Tsui underground station and through pedestrian tunnel to the J Exit of Jiandong underground station; visitor can follow the road signs to the Avenue of Stars.
Food nearby: The area around is clustered with numerous featured restaurants MTR. You can find authentic Canton dishes and Sichuan dishes in the Miramar Shopping Centre on the Kimberley Road. The Knutsford Terrace (MTR: Tsim Sha Tsul B1 Exit) gathers all delicious food and endville international delicacies such as the Spanish food, Italian food and Japanese food.
