Hong Kong Man Mo Temple

A bird's eye of a popular place of interest

As one of the most famous temples in Hong Kong, it is also the oldest temple which can be dated back to the exploration of Hong Kong as a port. In the temple, two images are worshiped, the God of Literature and the God of War. And there is a bronze bell made in the 27th year of Daoguang Period which evidences that the temple has a history of 150 years.

It is said that ceremony of cutting the chicken head and burning yellow paper which originated from Qing dynasty is still recognized by Hong Kong Government. Though it was rebuilt for many times, the original appearance is preserved and it is visited by lots of people.
