Open since 1997, the St. Regis Beijing, here in the second decade of the 21st century, combines modern amenities with an old-fashioned commitment to "customer-first", impeccable service. The hotel profits from its close proximity (only a 10 minute ride by cab) to the Forbidden City/ Tiananmen Square, being situated along the Jianguomen thoroughfare (the bottom, or southern, leg of what would be the 2nd Ring Road) in an area also characterized by its close proximity to one of Beijing's main diplomatic quarters; numerous foreign embassies lie just east-northeast of the eastern leg of the 2nd Ring Road, near Temple of the Sun Park.

The St. Regis Beijing comprises 273 spacious, exquisitely decorated and well-appointed guestrooms and suites. All are equipped with the latest amenities, including cable/satellite TV, in-house movies and Broadband Internet (Ethernet/WiFi). Non-smoker rooms are also available. Another feature that sets the St. Regis Beijing apart is its renowned, Round-the-Clock Room Service, and when we say "round-the-clock", we really mean it – try us out, it's part of the St. Regis Beijing's justly famous, personally accented hospitality.

As a St. Regis Beijing guest, you will have access to the exclusive St. Regis Spa & Club. The St. Regis Spa is Beijing's first ever hot-springs luxury spa with over 40 Western & traditional Chinese water treatments. And don't forget to check out our Club Wing, where you will find additional leisure facilities including an indoor swimming pool, a sauna, spa & massage, an exercise gym, billiard tables and even a mini-golf course.

You may well find yourself seeking recourse to a bit of exercise after dining in one of the hotel's five distinctively different gourmet restaurants: Danieli's, the Astor Grill, the Garden Court, the Celestial Court and the Shunsai, St. Regis Beijing's exclusive Japanese restaurant. In fact, the St. Regis Beijing's restaurants are so special that they, together with the hotel's justly famous Round-the-Clock Room Service, practically define the St. Regis Beijing.

Danieli's, voted "Beijing's Finest Italian Restaurant", offers some of the best Italian cuisine and -wines outside Italy (though perhaps after Manhattan and Chicago :) ). The Astor Grill serves some of the best international cuisine outside the Michelin "empire" (it is hailed as THE place to go in Beijing for great steaks). The Garden Court, exuding plushness, serves both Western and Asian dishes, "almost living" (though not alive, all is kept on ice: you choose the meat and/or seafood portion that takes your fancy, the chef then prepares it for you).

The Celestial Court serves authentic Cantonese and other regional Chinese dishes, both traditional and modern. And the Shunsai serves delicious Japanese specialties such as sushi, tempura and a host of mouth-watering pickled vegetables (not surprisingly, the Shunsai is also popular with nearby embassy personnel).

In summary, the St. Regis Beijing offers luxurious accommodations combined with the best in dining experiences, as well as a world class hot-springs spa, a fitness center and other first-class recreational facilities. In the grand tradition of regional French hotels that serve up renowned cuisine, also to the public at large, the restaurants of the St. Regis Beijing offer an array of national, regional and international culinary specialties that are appreciated by visitors – many of them frequent if not daily visitors – and guests alike.
