Opened in 1996 and redecorated in 2003, the Dali Asian Star Hotel is located in tourism resort in Ancient City. Neighboring the hotel are some famous attractions like Erhai Park and Cangshan Mount. It is only 10-minute walk to the Dali Old town and 30-minute drive to the Dali airport.
The Dali Asian Star Hotel has a total of 310 guest rooms in various standards, including superior mountain view King size room, superior lake view standard room, deluxe suite and so on. There are Chinese restaurant and Western restaurant on the second floor which can hold 600 people at one time. For recreation and relaxation, there are biliards room,fitnness centre, chess and card room, tennis court and SPA. near the old city with connection with shuttles, good view

We do not understand why China Highlights booked this hotel. It is ugly and far from old city. It is full of tourist buses, and very noisy, on a big road. There were many beautiful hotels in the old city, very quiet and not expensive.
