Guangzhou, known historically as Canton or Kwangchow, is the capital city of Guangzhou Province, the third largest metropolis in China and the largest city in south China. The southern part mainly consists of two districts: Haizhu District and Panyu District. Pazhou Complex, also known as Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center, is located on Pazhou Island, Haizhu District, to the southeast of the center of Guangzhou. Currently, it is the largest exhibition center in Asia covering 1,131,000 square meters, and hosts the Canton Fair every year, which is the most prestigious, largest-scaled, and comprehensive international trade fair in China. The Canton Fair will be held from April 15 to May 5 and October 15 to November 4.
Canton Tower, 600 meters high, is the second tallest tower in the world next to Tokyo Skytree. It is an observation tower located 3 kilometers west to the Pazhou Complex.
