First opened in 1989 and renovated in 2007, the Royal Park Hotel is located in the center of Shatin, about 15km to Hong Kong City center and 35km to Hong Kong International Airport.

This is a very nice hotel outside downtown HK. Please consider that you need to take the train to get to downtown (is very easy to take trains or subway in HK), this will take 30 minutes from the hotel to TST station. The hotel is close to a huge shopping mall and a few blocks from IKEA. this hotel is also good if you need to go to Shenzhen, the train will only take 40 minutes to Lowu station.

The rooms were large for Asia, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. The gym was great, and there were a few restaurants to choose between. The bar on the main floor had a nice ambience in the evenings, and the people at the front desk were friendly and helpful.

We were very pleased with the hotel. It was very clean and all the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We found the complimentary shuttle bus into the city very convenient. We definitely would reccommend this hotel. The wifi costs a bit, but if it is not a top priority then you'll be ok.
