Opened in 2009, the Gran Melia Shanghai is located in the Center of Lujiazui Financial and Trade Zone, overlooking the Huangpu River. Local attractions including the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai Aquarium, the Super Grand Mall, the Jin Mao Tower and the Financial Tower are all within walking distance.

We chose the Gran Melia because it has the best location for its price. The location is a 5-10 minute walk to the Lujiazui metro, the Super Brand Mall and IFC Mall. The rooms were pretty large with a washroom and separate shower of very good size. The room was well equipped with anything you could think of. Outstanding features for us were the luxurious bathroom with separate bath and shower, and the super-comfortable mattress. Breakfast is served in the lobby restaurant and that too is expensive. My advice is to walk next door to the DBS plaza. There is a lovely cafe called Sunflower that opens around 8am every morning and is half the cost of the Hotel.

Gran Melia Hotel is perfect place to stay in Shanghai. It is modern, classy and perfectly situated for a business or a holiday trip. The room was spacious, modern and well kept. It is within walking distance to the subway station. Only subway stop to the main shopping area....Nanjin Road. Within walking distance to the Pearl of the Orient tower and the IFC shopping mall. The hotel staff, especially the customer services staff from this hotel providing the personal service to each customer and it's provided excellent services to me and to my colleagues. And you can have the nice service and excellent experience when you stay at Red Level and it's launch.

Great location. An easy few minutes to walk to the nearest mall or to get on the subway. We stayed in a comfortable room on the 21st floor with the beautiful view of the Bund. It was a quiet room with wifi, very convenient. We experienced several of the restaurannts in the hotel and liked very much the one with China food. The level was a very speecial experience every morning for breakfast with warm and helpful serevice with a buffet which satisfied very taste.
