Opened in 2010, the Kingtown Hotel Plaza Shanghai is invested by the Kingtown Hotel Management Company in Canada. The hotel is just located at the bustling city center of Shanghai, within easy access to the Metro Station and Nanjing Road Walking Street and many other scenic spots. It is 30 minutes' drive to the Shanghai South Railway Station and 40 minutes' drive to the Hongqiao Airport.
The Kingtown Hotel Plaza Shanghai offers a total of 163 guest rooms of various types. All rooms are provided with free broadband internet access and IDD/DDD phone and other service amenities. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The hotel is very well located with just a short walk to the main walking and shopping street of East Nanjing road. Room is comfortable and it's well-decorated with modern fixtures. Overall, we recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shanghai. You'll definitely get your money's worth.

It's my third time staying in this hotel. My first stay was in 2011, that quite new. Now the facility's in the room are a bit old and definitely should be maintained. Location is good, actually in the center of the city, though maybe difficult to find the first time. Stuff nice and helpful.

We chose this hotel because of its cheap price. The place is under construction but quiet, service is ok. It's a bit hard to find since its in a lane way and not right on Xinzha Road. But it is signposted in English on Zinzha road so keep your eyes open. Handy to have name and address of Hotel in Chinese to show taxi drivers. Taxi cards provided by hotel when you get there. Taxis are cheap and clean.
