Shanghai Park Hotel

Erected in 1934 and redecorated in 2009, the Shanghai Park Hotel was the tallest building of Shanghai until the 1980s - the Jinmao Tower of its day if you will. The Shanghai Park hotel is located at the very heart of Shanghai, on the legendary Nanjing Lu, right in the middle of all the bustle and hustle of this historic road. The Hongqiao International Airport is a mere 13 km away, the railway station and harbor are only 5 Kms away, whilst the famous Bund is only a 3km walk.

There are a total of 208 rooms in the Shanghai Park hotel, from standard rooms up to deluxe suites, and some of these look out upon the People's Park. The Shanghai Park hotel also provides a good selection of Western and Oriental cuisine.The best of these has to be Le Park Lounge which was one of the most famous French Restaurant in Shanghai during the 1930s and 1940s and still retains much of its charm. The other restaurant of particular interest is The Cloud Hall which is famous for its spectacular view over the bustling Nanjing Road and which serves dishes from all over China. Other restaurants include the Fengze Lou Restaurant famous for its Beijing cuisine, the Leeward Hall which serves Cantonese dishes and the Lobby Coffee Shop.
