Opened in 2010, the Renaissance Shanghai Putuo Hotel is located in the Zhenru Area, within walking distance to the Metro Station Line 7. It is 5km away from Shanghai Railway Station, 9km away from the city center, 15km to Hongqiao Airport and 55km to Pudong Airport.

Rooms are very well designed and clean; they are modern and comfortable. The beds are veeeery new and the mattresses promoted a really good night's sleep. The bathrooms were also wonderful - strong shower and a bathtub, which is great after a hard day's grind. The breakfast is a good western and international food. The hotel is located in a residential section of the city so sightseeing involves getting on the subway or taking a cab. We enjoyed watching the residential life in this community. It is located across the road from line 7 of the subway and can connect you to all parts of the city.

Facility is 5 star but location is not. It is far from Nanjing Road and the Bund and other sights. However, the subway stop is literally across the street. There's a large underground shopping mall and grocery store reachable via a tunnel connected to the hotel basement. Rooms big and open with a retracting wall for the bathroom. Very well appointed. Bed very comfortable. The staff spoke enough English for us to communicate and tried to be as helpful as they could be. Consider the price, facility and service, I will be back again.

The hotel is not located in the center of Shanghai, but it is directly across the street from the 7 subway line (Exit 3). Taxis are very inexpensive for those who don't want to use the subway. The room has a nice large safe, robes , mini-fridge & A/V set up for connecting your computer or DVD player to the large flat screen. The international breakfast was excellent with good selection of food. On the second day we ate in the Chinese Restaurant on the second floor and the food was delicious. The staff at the front desk called us by our names and made us feel welcome.
